USGENE® is the USPTO Genetic Sequence Database, an annotated collection of all available DNA, RNA and protein sequences from the published patent applications and issued patents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The database has an archive which dates back to 1981, and the latest USPTO sequence data are available in USGENE on the day of publication, every Tuesday and Thursday of each week. As of April 30, 2017 there are 219,810,327 sequence records in USGENE, captured from 166,404 published patent applications and 108,267 issued patents.
