About USGENE®
USGENE® is the USPTO Genetic Sequence Database, an annotated collection of all available DNA, RNA and protein sequences from the published patent applications and issued patents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The database has an archive which dates back to 1981, and the latest USPTO sequence data are available in USGENE on the day of publication, every Tuesday and Thursday of each week. As of January 20, 2025 there are 292,229,352 sequence records in USGENE, captured from 273,274 published patent applications and 167,985 issued patents.
